Quincy Bioscience to Present at Biotechnology Industry Organization Conference

MADISON, Wisconsin (March 23, 2007)

Quincy Bioscience will be giving a presentation at the 2007 Biotechnology Industry Organization (BIO) Convention held in Boston, MA. Speaking on behalf of Quincy Bioscience will be Mark Underwood the President of Quincy Bioscience and one of the founders of the company. Quincy is dedicated to developing therapeutics to fight the diseases of aging including Alzheimer's, Parkinson's and other related neurodegenerative conditions.

The presentation will cover the scientific advancements that they company has made with their jellyfish derived technology (aequorin) and also its impact on their business development and corporate growth. Quincy Bioscience will use the BIO Convention as the stage to announce two large strategic initiatives within the State of Wisconsin Pavilion.

It is the goal of Quincy Bioscience to apply the technology developed from the aequorin molecule to develop products that fight the diseases of aging. Many different conditions are related to the disruption of calcium homeostasis and subsequent calcium-mediated toxicity. Quincy Bioscience has interests in both the dietary supplement and pharmaceutical markets. The technological application of the jellyfish protein includes the aging process in general along with age-related diseases. Quincy's technology has already demonstrated a potent neuroprotective effect in their animal models studies.
